Light 'em up!

So today is my 15th birthday, and at nighttime we did fireworks in our backyard. These are not the fireworks that go in the air, but they are the best ones we could find that are safe enough for the backyard. This is a picture of a firework going off and shooting in all sorts of directions. We had to place the fireworks on a wooden board so that they wouldn't fall over and shoot at us, or anything else. This picture was taken with a long exposure so that we could see how the fireworks travel.

Another trick that we used a long exposure for was where we had my cousin standing, holding a sparkler in his hand, and then he would throw the sparkler across the yard while i had the shutter open. The result of this is a picture of a person holding a sparkler with a trail of light going to the ground. You can see this picture HERE.
