Fenced Trail

So today I decided that I really had to take a roll of photos for photography class. Well I took my camera out in the SNOW and I took my shots. While I was taking this shot with my 35mm camera, I decided that it would also look nice in color so I took it with my point and shoot camera too. I really like that if you look really closely at the picture you can actually see small white lines from the snow falling. After uploading the photo onto the computer, I added a vignette to add another cool effect. Well I hope you all had a nice day, and I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Lit by the Sun

So today while sitting by the fire pit at Longview, I decided that I should take a picture of one of the plants that was still growing. There aren't many plants that were actually alive, but this was one of the lucky ones. It felt like it took forever for the sun to hit the plant perfectly because I wanted the plant to be almost shining on the whole plant, but not the whole thing. When taking this shot, I wanted to make sure that the plant was the only thing in focus, and that the background was all blurred, and I am happy with the result. Come on in, We're Open!

So today was the first day that Longview Treefarm was open. It was so exciting, and after some people leaving without trees, we finally sold the first tree! It gave me the chills when I saw the family dragging their tree back to the car. It really makes me feel like they are going to have a better christmas because of the tree that they got at Longview. This picture was taken when the whole family was putting up the open sign, and I really like it because you can see everyone on one single picture. Save Me a Slice

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!
So today after eating ALL that turkey.. it was time for pie! What a difficult decision! I mean you have to pick a good choice because you want to make sure that the pie mixes good with all that food. LOL

So today I got to leave school a little earlier and I got to go see Tyler's Thanksgiving show. All the little preschoolers sing a bunch of songs to celebrate the holidays, but I never usually get to go to any of the shows. Fiery Flower

So today while I was in the family room, I decided to take a picture of the flowers that my mom got on her birthday. They were starting to wilt and die, so I decided that I had to take the pictures now before they didn't look good anymore. This picture is definitely one of my favorite pictures that I have taken in a while. I really like macro photography, and I can't wait until I can get a real macro lens to have more fun with it. Stairway to Heaven

So today while I was outside with my camera I decided to lay down on the ground, and shoot a picture up towards the top of the stairs. I wanted to include some clouds, because I thought it really gave it a look of the stairway to heaven. Orange Tipsy

So today, after dinner I decided to take a glass that was on the table and cut a slice of peel from the orange that I was eating and curl it to hang on the edge of the glass. Bench Warmer

So today I decided to go outside in the FREEZING COLD, and take some pictures. I saw across the street this tree that was lit up by a little area of sun, but once I got outside the sun had already moved (as usual) and I couldn't take the shot. I decided to go and try and take a cool picture of this bench. Aside the bench is the basketball hoop, and this is the only shot I could take without moving the cold bench! Orange for your Thoughts

So today is my mom's birthday and before we had her birthday cake, we all had some fruit and dessert, and one of the fruits were oranges. I loved how cool the oranges looked in the bowl and I just had to take a picture of it. I like how the oranges are all distorted around the edges too from the roundness of the bowl. So today, I was playing with the kids in the toy room and Maddie took her socks off. I thought that it would make a really cute picture if I crossed her legs when I took the shot, and made it black and white on the computer. So today, I decided to take a picture of the new chandelier that we got for the foyer. Since we put it up, the wheat on the top was always my favorite part. So today we went to a new portuguese restaurant in Bridgeport, and it was really good! Shooting for the Sun

So today was a "To Write Love on Her Arms" day. These are days that bring awareness to depression in teenagers. The simple way to play your part is just to write love on your arms on those certain days. The Front End

So today while I got off the bus, I noticed how the sun was hitting my dad's truck. I really liked how you could see the reflection of the trees in the windshield also. So today was another day off from school, and as usual I had an appointment. It never fails, whenever I have a day off from school I have a doctors, orthodontics, or dermatologist appointment. Sunset Clouds

So today, I was in the kitchen when I noticed a really nice sunset out the window. I really liked how the sun was making the bottom of all the clouds all red and warm. I knew that I had to take the picture quickly because the sunset would be gone in the blink of an eye. Foggy Forest

So today before venturing off to Longview, I just had to stop and take a picture of the trees across the street. There was still fog everywhere and I just loved the effect that it was giving to the trees in the distance. Driving Light

So today after getting out of the car after yet another family party, I noticed how cool the street looked. It was very foggy and, I really like how everything on the road looked against the street light. Both the tree and the street signs are all silhouetted against the light, and it looked really moody. While taking pictures, I kept trying to wait for a time where there were no cars driving by. Taking this picture I was sure that no cars were coming, but sure enough a car came right through the picture. I thought that the car's light had ruined the picture, but I think that it just added a whole other effect to the picture. I really like the simple red line from the car driving down the street. The Window to the Soul

So today I came across a picture of an eye on the internet, and it just stuck in my mind all day. I just had to take a picture of one for myself. It was pretty difficult to take pictures of other people's eyes, so I decided to turn the camera on myself and take the picture. I had to take the picture about 20 or so times, but I think it came out good in the end. I then took the picture into photoshop and created a 'selective color' photograph. The Washing Ghost

So tonight, I was in the kitchen when the dishwasher was drying the dishes inside. Whenever it dries them, it starts to release steam from the holes in the front. I've been wanting to take pictures of smoke/steam for a while now, and I figured I'd just see how my camera photographs, and I think that it came out pretty cool. Smell the Coffee

So today is Cliché Day, and I decided to go with "wake up and smell the coffee". I took one of our coffee cups and filled it with some coffee and water to make it look like the cup was really full. Happy Home

So we finally ended up taking the Griffin family pictures and I think that they came out really cute. We thought that the pictures should be in front of the sign of the new tree farm, and it was such a cute idea. Although Tyler was not in the best mood, we ended up getting a great smile out of him. This was actually the first shot that we took out of about 30! Considering how fast we had to do it, and the moods of both of the kids, I think it came out pretty nice.
