To the Side

So today I decided to take another picture using the black fabric that I have. I wanted to make it look like another picture that I had taken of Tyler when he was about 2 years old in the same position. I took this picture by placing Tyler on the top of a piece of black fabric that I have and I had him look off to the side. By the time I had Tyler facing in the right direction so that the lighting was correct, he really didn't want to take the picture anymore, so I had to take a couple quick shots so he could go back to what he was doing. Smells Like Autumn

When I saw this picture on my computer after I uploaded it, I fell in love with Princess' face. It looks like she is almost smelling something. I made a small pile of leaves in the yard, and then I placed Princess in the middle. I had a tennis ball in my hand, and that is how I made her look up to the sky. Water Sculpture

So today, I wanted to experiment with water droplets. I've done this before, and I can never get it perfect. I need to buy a macro lens for my camera, and then the whole droplet would be in focus and it would look a lot better. I took this shot by taking a clear baking dish, and placing it in the sink. I then placed red folders under the dish so that the water would appear red. Taking pictures of droplets is really about luck. I took about 50 pictures of just drops and you just see what you get. Sometimes your lucky and get a really good one and sometimes you don't even get the droplet. Well I hope you all had a nice day, and I'll talk to you tomorrow.

So tonight after dinner, we had apple crisp that my cousin, Charlene made. We put it in the oven and it was really warm, and then we put some ice cream on top and it was amazing! Opening Up

So I went outside to take pictures today, as usual, and I was looking through the flowers because there is always one flower that looks really good that day. I took this shot because I knew that you would still be able to see the green leaves in the background, but they would be blurry. I also like how the flower is the only thing in focus and that it really stands out because its really bright against the dark background. I called the post 'opening up' because it looks like the flower is blooming, and you can kind of the see the inside of the flower, but only if you look closely. Hit the Nail on the Head

So today I was trying to think of creative ideas of how I can take a picture with tools. I went into the garage and saw the box of nails that my dad had, so I took a piece of wood and put a few nails into it, and then I brought it out into the sun. I kept turning it until you could see almost all of the shadows on the piece of wood and I took the shot. Shadow of a Doubt

So today I went out to take another roll of photos for photography class, and I ended up taking this shot. I really like how the leaf has different areas of light and shadow, and how you can see the wood grain behind it too. To take this shot all I did was place the leaf on the railing of the deck, and just had to keep turning the leaf until I liked how the shadows looked. Looking Past

So today I went outside to take pictures, as usual, and I ended up taking this just before the sun went down. This is a picture from the rose bush that we have. There is only one rose on it now, but there is a whole bunch of thorns! I really like how the thorns are silhouetted against the sunset and the blue sky. So today, I decided to take a picture of this flower that I have been passing by every time that I take pics for photography class. I don't take a picture of the flower for photo class because it doesn't really look that good in black and white, but I never thought of taking it in color. Bringing it Down

So today we went to the house that Amy & Rob are buying, and Rob was using the machine that cuts down all of the plants that grow between the christmas trees so that there would be clear paths through the trees. He obviously didn't do the whole thing, but he got most of the front done. This is a picture taken through the plants of Rob tearing them down! Lined Up

So today was the first football game of Masuk's football season, and me and a couple of my friends went to watch. We had a fun time, and by the time that we were leaving, Masuk was killing the other team. This is a picture taken just before we were leaving. I really like how the team is lined up against the side of the field and how the field light is really dominant in the picture, and almost looks like the moon. Oncoming Traffic

So once I looked outside today and saw that sunset, I knew that I had to get a picture with it in the background. I decided to go on the edge of our yard and take a picture of the road, and I had to wait a decent amount of time to get this picture timed perfectly. If the exposure time of the shot was too long then the card would be blurred. Another thing that I really like in this picture was how the leaves in the foreground are silhouetted, and how the yellow lines on the road just kind of fade away on the right. What a Nut!

So while I was sitting at my computer today, I saw a squirrel sitting on a rock in our front yard with a nut in its mouth. I moved really slowly so that I didn't make a loud noise, because last time I tried to take a picture of a squirrel, I dropped something in my room and it ran away. Fuzzy

So today I brought the kids outside to play in the yard. While we were playing, Princess began to sniff a certain area in the grass, so I went over to look at it. There was a small caterpillar sitting right there right in front of Princess' nose. It was one of those furry ones too so I was kind of afraid to touch it. I grabbed a leaf and placed it on the table. Amy thought that it would be a good idea for me to take a picture of it, and I think that it came out pretty good. I like how only parts of the leaf are in focus and how the table shines in a couple of different colors. Well I hope you all had a nice day, and I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Nature through the Cracks

So I got in a photography mood today, so I decided to just go around the outside of the house and take some random pictures. I think that this was the most interesting picture that I took. I took one of the flowers that we have and placed it in between a pile of stones that we have and I think that it came out really well. Once I uploaded the photo onto the computer, I brought it into iPhoto to straighten it so that there was a straight line of stone going all the way across the picture. Hanging Around

So today I went outside with Tyler to take some more pictures for photography, and this is a picture that I really liked. I placed my camera on my tripod and put it on a 10 second timer. I then put Tyler on the hanging bar on the jungle gym and when I knew that the camera was about to snap the picture I let Tyler go and he would hang by himself. Rub my Belly

So I tried out the new fabric that I got today as a backdrop today. I am so excited because I have always wanted backdrops to play around with. I need to go with my dad back to the guy with all the fabric to get some more so that I can do better photoshoots. This was an easy picture to take, because I just had to set Princess down and rub her belly a little and she was very cooperative. There was another picture that could have been todays picture of the day, and you can see it HERE. That picture is very funny because I caught her mid-yawn. Damp Infiniti

So today I went out shooting again for photography class, and I took this really cool picture of the Infiniti symbol on Rob's car. I really like how the rain drops look against the shiny metal. To take this picture I literally had to go outside holding an umbrella and two cameras. Yea, it was pretty difficult! I had to take a picture with my digital camera to make sure that the lighting and exposure was alright, and then I would carefully take a picture with my film camera for class, all while holding the umbrella. Berry Pickin'

So this is a picture of some berries that I just found out that we had in our backyard. I don't remember ever seeing them before, but I thought they were really pretty. Take a Breath..

So today, I began taking pictures for my photography class, and it was so much fun! All of the pictures had to be outside when the sun was still out. Before taking the picture with my 35 mm camera, I would always take a digital picture to make sure that it was going to look ok with the right zooming and lighting. This is a picture of a dandelion on the post of the garden fence. I like how the dandelion is really light and has contrast against the darker wood. Coming Home

So today we were on our way home from Florida, and we had to wake up pretty early to catch the plane on time. This is a picture taken from the window of the plane, and this is about 15 seconds after leaving the ground. You can tell because the wing is still at an angle with the ground. Bowling Pool

So today was a little of a gloomy day in the beginning, but it definitely got hot by the afternoon. This is a picture of the pool that was designated for our section of the hotel. The pool is in the shape of a bowling pin because our section was the 50's section, and I guess that bowling was popular in the 50's. Today was also the day that all the parents went to the wedding. So today we went to Epcot and it was really fun! We went on a couple of rides two or three times because they were all so fun. This is a picture of a fountain inside Epcot. So today was a really weird day for the weather. In a matter of about 15 minutes, the sky went from looking like this to actually hailing! It was amazing how fast these things can happen.
